The Super Y's website has profiled the Brooklyn Knights' U-12 Girls great start to the summer season. Noting that "for such a young team, the U12 Brooklyn Knights girls exhibit great possession of the ball," the Y-league press arm also focuses on three up-and-coming players: Layla Devlin, Kate McNamara, and Angela Aguero.
Kate McNamara is noted as a "target striker," Layla Devin gets credit for her role as a dangerous winger, and Angela Aguero's dribbling skills have also turned heads. Coach Christian Galvin adds praise for all three players.
The team is leading the way for Met Oval's recently announced full-time Girls Program. The Girls Program will make the historic Met Oval facility available to girls players on a year-round basis. while applying the development philosophy applied to all Met Oval teams, which focuses on developing technical players of the highest caliber.
