Met Oval Fall 2013 Preview

Labor Day is over (and the Transfer Deadline has passed), which can only mean one thing: the Met Oval Fall season is commencing.  Board members, the coaching staff, and volunteers have been hard at work over the summer months, giving their timeto prepare the Oval for next week's opening slate of games. We transition to the Fall from our success this summer, where three Met Oval teams reached the national championships in the Y-League.

In the coming months, we look forward to announcing additions to our facilities and personnel that will further our mission to offer develop the highest-caliber players while offering youth of all backgrounds the opportunity to play soccer (and have fun!) in a committed environment.

For the first time this Fall, you can now view the Met Oval's entire home Fall schedule at our new public Schedule page.

Exciting matchups you will see there include the new USSF Development Academy U-14 team's final home game of the season, pitting them against New Jersey's World Class.

Met Oval's U-13 and U-15 squads get right into local Derby action on September 9th, facing off against Gottschee in back-to-back games.  The innovative Met Oval U-12 teams, which features a pool of talented players,  will face off against MatchFit on October 6th.  Keep your eye on the Schedule for the U-13 Girls (a Met Oval first!) and the U-18 boys games -- they will be posted when they become available.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for score updates throughout the season, along with other Met Oval news updates.

And for the younger kids, our Mini-Kicks Clinic (Age 4-7) and Youth Development Programs (Age 8-12)  -- each launched this summer -- are now running on all cylinders.  Sign up at the links above!

Looking forward to seeing you at the field.
