The Chicago Fire have drafted Met Oval alum Kadeem Dacres during the MLS SuperDraft. Dacres had starred previously for the Met Oval Academy, putting up 15 goals in 29 games played as a U-18 Met Oval player. Kadeem was also a U.S. Youth national team international.
At Chicagofire.com, Chicago Fire Head Coach and Director of Soccer Frank Yallop stated that Kadeem, along with other draft picks, had "performed well in their collegiate careers and display qualities that we feel can fit in our system."
During college, Kadeem was the 2013 American East Midfielder of the Year while spending the final two seasons of his collegiate career with the University of Maryland-Baltimore Country.
At Met Oval, Dacres played alongside Matthew Ratajczak and Sebastian Guenzatti. Matthew currently plays in the Icelandic Premiership for the Fjolnir Football Club, and Sebastian is a regular on the New York Cosmos.
We wish Kadeem the best of luck with the Fire!
