Five Met Oval Academy Players Train at Manchester City's Academy

Five Met Oval Academy players were selected to train at Manchester City's Academy as part of the New York City FCselect program.  The players spent nine days in Manchester training at Manchester's Ethiad Campus, playing friendlies against Man City and other EPL youth academy teams and attending a Man City EPL game as well as the Semi-Finals of the Champions League.

" The facilities, the training and the entire experience was amazing. I got to meet professional players and understand what it takes to reach my dream of being a professional player" said Met Oval player Alejandro Suarez.

These types of experiences add to the development of young players from the New York region both on and off the field.

Met Oval is USSF Development Academy Club and an affiliate partner of New York City FC which is owned by Manchester City.  Met Oval runs a Youth Center of Excellence based out of New York's only club owned soccer facility.
