The Met Oval's Brooklyn Knights Y-league boys teams are all headed to the Y-League's national championships in Florida after highly successful summer seasons. The U-12 squad, led by coach Hugo Guzman, succeeded with highly technical play and very focused development-driven coaching.
The U-14 team, coached by Ernest Inneh, currently stand at second in the nation in total points. They completed their summer campaign with four straight victories over established teams such as the Long Island Rough Riders and the Westchester Flames.
The U-15 team finished with a record of 9 wins and 3 losses for the season and is headed to the national championships for the second straight year under the guidance of Coach Ivo Mohorovic. Met Oval Brooklyn Knights player Juan Carlos Obregon Jr. had an astounding 14 goals, averaging over a goal per game, and received honors as a Y-league "Top Performer."
The Y-League's North American Finals will take place from December 5 to December 9 in Bradenton, Florida.
