This past weekend, five Met Oval teams traveled to the Delco Players' Cup, one of the nation's top tournaments. The U-9, U-11, U-12, and U-13 Boys teams, along with the U-13 girls team, posted strong performances in competition with top teams from across the country. Playing 11 vs. 11 for the first time, The Met Oval U12 players controlled the pitch with high pressing defensive play and possession oriented attacking play.
The boys continued their pace and controlled most of the pitch with numerous attacking moves and numerous shots inane around the goal. Like the Met Oval U12 boys, the Chicago Fire Academy was a top class team who played a highly technical style of soccer.
Congrats to all the Met Oval teams!
